Well, it finally happened – the dreaded water pump failure on my 2018 Golf R that I've been dreading ever since I bought the car. I've had the car for about three years now and I absolutely love it, but this is the first major issue I've had and I want to make sure it gets fixed properly the first time. That sounds like exactly what I need because I've heard horror stories about water pump replacements going wrong and causing even more expensive problems down the line. I'm planning to get it towed there tomorrow but I'd really love to hear from anyone who's had this specific job done on their Golf or Audi and can tell me what to expect in terms of cost, time, and whether there's anything else I should have them replace while they're in there, like the thermostat or the belt tensioner. Really appreciate any advice you guys can share because I'm a bit stressed about this whole situation.
